Luohu hosted political and legal work conference
The Luohu District Committee of the Communist Party of China held a conference on political and legal work on Feb 27.
The committee used the occasion to convey the gist of a conference on the same topic held by the central authorities, review Luohu’s political and legal work last year and present a list of work to be carried out this year.
Local Party chief He Haitao delivered a speech in the conference, while Luo Yude, head of the Luohu district government, presided over the meeting.
The district committee has confirmed the political and legal staff had fulfilled the four main tasks set for last year — defending national political security, maintaining social stability, prompting social fairness and justice, and guaranteeing the people could live and work in an atmosphere of peace and contentment.
The district committee urged all present to become fully aware of new challenges and urgent tasks in the new era, and to always stick to the correct political line, and adhere to the leadership of the Party.
Political security was a priority in the meeting. A key task is to root out gangs and crack down on organized crime. The other tasks include improving the living and business environments, and litigation and legal public services, as well as enhancing government work efficiency.
The conference stressed the need for adherence to the Party’s absolute leadership in political and legal work, and the strengthening of professional training and team building of the political and legal staff to meet the requirements of the work in the new era.
Zhou Yichuan, deputy Party chief of Luohu and secretary of Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Luohu District Committee, provided a detailed account of relevant work planned for this year.
